Snake River

The WWC has played a significant role in acquiring three properties on Snake River — the Spear Property, Baird Property and Bergeron Property. These properties constitute most of the west side of Snake River, which runs between Mosquito Bridge at Waukewan Road to Winona Bridge.
The properties will be permanently conserved and contains critical wetlands and an upland buffer that filter the water entering Lake Waukewan, Meredith’s water supply. The Meredith Conservation Commission will also hold a conservation easement on the properties.
